"Inseprable" Chapter 6

Nick was the first to jump up on my back and start yelling. "I DO!" "Me too!" Kevin raised his hand up in the air. "Then get in the car." I laughed. Then I turned to Eleanor. "I don't think you really want to swim in that." "Oh, and what makes you think I want to go." she grinned. "Me, and the fact that I'm not giving you a choice." "Oh, prove it." she challenged and started running off to her house. She only got about a few feet before I caught her and dragged her to the car. "But Joe! I don't have my swimsuit." I handed her to Kevin, so to say, and him and Nick kept her trapped while I ran into her house and up to her room, with a confused smile from her mom. I rifled around until I found a very nice bikini and fumbled with the box in my pocket. Once I made sure I had everything she needed, including sunscreen, I ran back out to the car. I handed the suit to her and set everything else in the bag on the floor, turned the key and we were off towards the beach. My parents were going to come to, but they had decided to just meet us there in a couple of hours. "That Ok?" I asked, once we were officially gone and she didn't really have a choice one way or the other. "Yep. It's the one I would have grabbed anyway." she giggled. "Good." We drove, jamming to some of our music." (We were going on tour in a couple of months) When we finally arrived, Nick managed to be the first one out of the car, even though he was kind of squished in the middle. They all switched places once we'd gotten moving. I slid out of the front seat, shut the door, and moved around to the other side to help Eleanor out of the car. I knew she didn't really need the help, I just wanted to be able to touch her. We found one of the picnic tables to set our stuff at and then I pointed her towards the changing rooms so she could get into better swimming attire. I wanted more than anything to just walk her up there, but Nick was still clueless and it was better if he didn't know, just yet and I felt that might have been just a bit obvious. When she had finally disappeared and all of us had gotten lathered up with sunscreen we walked over to the edge of the water, and just stood there. This was something we did every time. We stood and watched the water waiting for the perfect moment, and then we would all go to shove another in and manage to all go at the same time. We swam around and splashed each other with water for a good 10 minutes before I noticed her walking back down towards us. Then I quickly dove under and swam a good 10 feet away from the other two, coming up for air occasionally or I am sure I would have drowned. She joined the other two and looked around for me, having not noticed my quick get away. She must have asked where I was because Kevin pointed in my direction and she dove into the water and swam after me. I wasn't terribly far so I could see Nick's confused face as to why we were separating from them so soon. I tried not to think about that however and I just put on one of my usual, laughing, prankster kind of face. Then Kevin shoved Nick under the water, and was soon pulled down himself, and I waited for Eleanor to reach me. Didn't take long.
