Ch. 6 [Nick's P.O.V] [wow. What got into Skylar? She's never been that...tough. Towards anybody. We have to talk about this. She's been acting weird all night. Somethings wrong...i know it.] Nick opens the passenger door for Skylar and she sits in her seat. Nick sits in the driver's seat and starts the car. Skylar: Don't you have to get me home by curfew? Nick: You don't have one sky. I just said that so we could leave. And I'm not taking you home until you tell me whats wrong. Skylar: What do you mean? Nick: Are you kidding?! You just tried to punch at Miley! Skylar: Your point? Nick: Every time she comes to "say hi" your always polite. Skylar: Well...i guess i was a little....*sigh*...jealous... Nick: How can you be jealous of her?! Skylar: Many ways! Nick: Why are you jealous of her i mean? Skylar: She's...pretty. And she sings...and she's a superstar...i cant compete with that... Nick: *sigh* Sky...your not pretty. Your Beautiful. And your singing blows her out of the water! And.. you shine brighter than any star I've ever seen...she cant compete with you. Skylar: My singing? Nick: Yeah! Its beautiful. Oh and when are you gonna sing me that new song you wrote? Tonight? Skylar: Song i wrote? um...yeah...sure...tonight... Nick: Great! Nick puts the car in drive. Skylar: Wait! Nick: What? He puts the car in park again. Skylar: We haven't discussed your little problem tonight. Nick: What problem? Skylar: oh lets see...'don't call her that' 'your not putting your hands on her' Nick: Well did you want him to do either of those things? Skylar: of course not but- Nick: Then whats wrong with me telling him not to? Skylar: um....nothing i guess... [Skylar's P.O.V] [how did he do that? He did exactly what i did! Got jealous. But he made it seem like he just did it out of kindness for me...maybe it was...just...kindness.] Nick: The only one who can do this is me... Nick kisses Skylar gently on the lips. [Skylar's P.O.V] [nope. definitely jealousy.] Nick: So are your parents home? Skylar: No. Nick:You wanna spend the night at my house instead? Skylar: um...sure... Skylar and nick smile at each other. Nick: Okay we'll go pick up your clothes. And your still gonna sing me that song right? Skylar: um okay....yeah... [I bet i wrote that song down. Its got to be somewhere in my room..] Nick Drives back to Skylar's house. Skylar:You want me to come up? Nick: Sure. Skylar starts to open her door. Nick: Wait! Skylar freezes Nick runs around to the passenger door and opens it for Skylar. Skylar laughs. Skylar: Your such a gentleman. Nick: I try. [smiles] They ring Skylar's doorbell. The maid answers the door. Maid: Hello Miss Skylar. Skylar: um..hello... Maid: Rose deary...my name is Rose. Skylar: Yes I'm sorry Rose...i..guess I'm just...tired. Rose: Of course dear. Where will you be sleeping tonight? Skylar: Actually I'm staying at Nick's house tonight. Rose: Oh okay. I thought you might. So I packed your bag...don't worry. Your music folder is there..i know how you get inspired. [rose hands her the bag] Skylar...oh okay...thanks... Rose: Oh of course! Rose runs up the stairs to Skylar's room. Skylar: Where are you going? Nick: Probably to get your- Rose: Here's your tape recorder dear. In case you forget how your song goes. Skylar *sigh* oh thanks! I had a feeling i was going to forget my...uh...song. Nick: Well we better get going sky. Rose: Bye loves. Skylar: Bye rose i cant thank you enough. Rose smiles. Nick and Skylar walk back to Nick's car. And they drive to nicks house.
